By using Pumpy, you agree to the following terms:
1. Data Accuracy (The "At the Pump" Rule)
Pumpy displays fuel prices provided by the UK Government's open data scheme. While we update our servers constantly, prices at the physical pump can change at a moment's notice. The price displayed on the physical totem pole at the actual petrol station is always the final, legally binding price. Pumpy is not liable for any discrepancies between the app and the station.
2. Account Security & Responsibilities
If you choose to register an account with Pumpy, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account. Pumpy cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
3. Acceptable Use, Community Moderation & User-Generated Content
We provide tools to help drivers cross-verify pricing data and leave text reviews/ratings for stations. By creating or uploading any User-Generated Content (UGC), you explicitly accept these Terms of Service. Please use these tools responsibly.
- Prohibited Content: We strictly prohibit the submission of objectionable content. You must not upload or publish content that contains hate speech, harassment, bullying, discrimination, violence, explicit sexual content, or profanity. We maintain an absolute prohibition on any content related to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
- Prohibited Behavior: Intentional submission of false fuel rates, spamming reports, posting misleading reviews, sharing contact information or URLs, or attempting to reverse-engineer our API endpoints is strictly forbidden.
- Automated Moderation & Holds: All submitted text reviews are processed through an automated in-house filter to identify prohibited behavior, abusive language, and contact/link patterns. If a review flags any of our internal rules, it will be automatically withheld from public view and placed on hold pending administrative review.
- Reporting and Blocking: Pumpy provides in-app functionality allowing users to report objectionable content and block other users. Blocking a user will hide their reviews from your account.
- Enforcement: To maintain database integrity for the driving community, we reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or permanently ban accounts found violating these guidelines. We actively moderate content and reserve the right to remove non-compliant reviews or permanently ban violating accounts without warning. Banned or suspended profiles will have all API-level access revoked.
4. Account Termination & Deletion
You maintain the right to discontinue use of the service and delete your profile at any time via the in-app account portal. Upon confirmation, your record, stored preferences, and relational data will be permanently dropped from our active databases.
5. Service Availability
Pumpy is provided "as is." Because we rely on upstream data feeds from the government, third-party authentication platforms, and map tiles nodes, there may be times when the service experiences temporary downtime or structural disruptions outside of our control.
6. Changes to the App
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of Pumpy at any time as the platform evolves to better serve UK motorists.
